Hey, I have happily joined the GDP. I know, given my crazy near-30 yr. obsession with Gretsch guitars, I should have joined years ago — I have been lurking on the GDP from time to time reading posts over the last few years but I just didn’t get off my butt to join. But now I’m happily on.
Meeting Fred, Joe, Rocky and the whole gang at the Gretsch Building that day was just an amazing experience — captured nicely in Paul Shannon’s videos. It went WAY beyond making my day. Not to sound too ‘new age-y’ here, but you could say it felt like several long-turning cosmic wheels of mine kind of locked into place that Saturday and a great moment to make some cool new friends.
Hey Adam, it was a pleasure to film that day and document some real Gretsch history with Fred and Joe… and having you appear was the icing on the cake for me! I’ll be in touch on my next trip to Brooklyn, which should be soon!
Enjoyed all the video clips here. Thanks for doing this guys. Great history lessons. Beautiful guitars - I like Cadillac Green. I’m building a Cadillac Green ‘tribute’ drum kit right now.
what a fabulous insight into Gretsch history, and the icing on the cake was the impromtu meeting with a real Gretsch fan Adam Dubov … brilliant !!
thanks to all involved

Why isn’t Adam a GDP member yet?! We need to know more about those guitars!

Ditto from me Adam. Great to meet you and thanks for sharing your stories.
Hope you make it to the next NJ Roundup and Rocky’s Gretsch Day.
