13753 1955 Streamliner (6190) Sunset Orange This was the prototype guitar given to Chet Atkins from Gretsch. Is was a dual pickup 6190-SP Streamliner-Special Order. Adorned with Western motif (including tail piece) and a Chet Atkins pickguard. Chet did not like the Western motif, but wanted his name on a guitar, so he agreed to accept this model. The offical name changed to the Chet Atkins 6120 with serial number 13770 and a bigsby added.
13770 1955 Chet Atkins Hollowbody (6120) Sunset Orange First Chet Atkins 6120 was 13770. This was the first production model with the number 6120. The Streamliner used for a prototype did not have a bigsby on it. Chet Atkins requested that his model had a Bigsby. That was the only change from the 6190-SP prototype Gretsch made.
