- Modifications
Red bakelite tuners have been replaced. I have the originals but they are not salvageable. Everything else about this guitar is original as well as the (I assume) case, which is wrecked.
- Unusual factory features
American Concert Series, models introduced in late 1933. At introduction all models were 16" wide with f-holes, carved spruce top, maple back and sides, trapeze tailpiece, black bakelite pickguard, 3-piece maple neck, (2 pieces of maple with rosewood laminate stripe), 14 frets clear of body, 24 1/2" scale, ebony fingerboard with pointed end, rounded peak peghead. This description came from a vintage guitar guidebook mand describes my guitar perfectly.
