Non-standard serial number is attributed to the fact that this one is an MIRC refurbished instrument. The serial number is on a label, affixed over the original number on the headstock and the body label. The original serial number underneath is partly defaced (as is normal for factory refurbs), but does indicate a 2017 build.
Fretboard markers are actually Bacon & Day-style "snowflake markers". Bridge is ebony with built-in Fishman M-300 pickup system. Tailpiece is a traditional Gibson-style two-piece mandolin tailpiece with "Gretsch" engraved on the cover.

I had been looking for a good deal on another 9350 for about 6 months, ever since production was suspended in late 2017. (I also have a 2014 model, which was a very special Christmas gift from my late father-in-law).
Found this one in a "steal-of-a-deal" on Reverb.com. Yes, it is a "factory refurb", which came from MIRC here in Tennessee. However, I have yet to find any blemishes or flaws with this instrument.
