Modifications

All rotting plastic was meticulously replaced, ALL OF IT.
Modern Cellulose ( nonrotting) body binding ALL LAYERS
Pickup spacers, and guard and rod cover All replaced
with accurate handmade repros.
A compensated, polished ebony bridgetop was fabricated for the space control bridge base, space control and tuning fork bridge are in the string pocket, Bucky string set.

Unusual factory features

None. This is early issue with normal trussrod and all Van Eps
features...just like Bucky and George's!

A beautiful guitar saved from self-destruction due to horibble, severe cellulose plastic degradation. All metal parts and finish cleaned/neutralised of Nitric Acid gassing out and the body was completley rebound, even though the out layer was the culprit, this "disease" spreads to attached unnafected cellulose and all must be removed/replaced to insure no further issues. Every single first-version Van Eps I've ever even heard of has binding rot like this. Now, its the beautiful guitar it always should have been. Great playing action/neck angle/bridge height, NO ISSUES
