Modifications

Replaced the stock Space Control bridge with an AL120B Tru-Arc (actually the prototype for the Tru-Arc bass model). Added felt knob pads.

Unusual factory features

Gretsch lists these as equipped with locking Sperzel tuners. This is not the case as they come stock with regular Sperzel non-locking tuners. Also, even though the scale length is "short" at 30.3 inches, the playing feel is similar to that of a long-scale bass, due to the string length from the tailpiece-- it requires long-scale strings.

Another somewhat unusual feature is that Schaller straplocks are standard equipment, instead of the traditional Gretsch strap knobs.

I purchased this in Dec. 2015 from fellow GDP member Roadjunkie, who won it in the swag giveaway at the first Nashville Roundup in June 2008. Keeping it all in the GDP family!
