Cool first batch Electromatic cutaway. The model number is 6190-1. The pick guard may be replaced but everything else looks to be original. Very nice!
Just a little history on this Gretsch 6190-1…..Yes the pick card was replaced, My Father bought this guitar in Alpena MI in 1953. He used it to play at weddings and gatherings throughout the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. He had a Dan-o-electric amp with a lite tan tweed covering that matched the guitar case which is still in great condition. My Grandfather and Grandmother made the new pick guard and stenciled my dad’s initials in it for him back in the late 80’s…. the original pick guard was cracked and very brittle.
