Unusual factory features

The f holes are so small that upgrading the pots and or other components will be very challenging.

I obtained this due to its reduced footprint and the sound from the broadtron pickups. I am amazed that the f holes are so small that upgrading the hardware will be difficult.

Has anyone out there tried to do that or know why they built it this way?

Has anyone tried to upgrade any of the pots or switches in a streamline Gretsch? Mine is a G2655T with the smaller f holes.

I think the guitar has a lot of potential, but I don’t know how to address the pot or switch upgrades due to the “center block” construction. There is essentially a channel that houses the bridge and neck pickups and totally isolates the wings. The pots are too big to be removed from the f holes.
