He was in a rock band playing a Japanese guitar and wanted something better. I saw this in the window and wanted it bad. I didn't have much money but bought this in 1968. The front paint had fadded a little. It took me a year to pay it off. I played it in the band for about 12 years. I had a custom blue metal flake naugahyed amp.

Great player! The serial number on these is date coded so yours translates to May of 1968. The color was originally green, but not a shade usually referred to as Cadillac Green. The tuners are Van Ghents, and the bridge is a space control model.
