I would like to find out from what year my guitar is. Serialnr is not easy to read because of the handwriting, it's handwritten in blue ink, and visual through te left F-hole The label is white with black with only the text : Gretsch Guitars Model NO. 7660. Serial NO. 5,7027 ( I think) than below in smaller printing : Made in U.S.A. Also any other information would be very welcome.

Your guitar is a late-Baldwin-era instrument. The serial number indicates that it was built in May, 1977… this means it was most likely built in the 2nd plant in Booneville, Ark.

Thx Tartan Phantom. And you’ve got a great collection of guitars !

I have the same guitar except that the body is 2 3/4” thick. SN# 6-5089. What do I have?

June 1975, 89th guitar produced that month.
