Original bone nut has been replaced by a plastic one and is too narrow for the fret board. Needs to be replaced with the correct fit. I'm thinking a bone blank fitted to the fret board.
- Unusual factory features
The makers sticker states "THE FRED GRETSCH mfg. co
Brooklyn 11, NY
It has a Martin style bridge with bone forward slanting saddle . It has a mahogany back and sides with either natural (aged) or Amber spruce top. This guitar does not have a truss rod and was purchased used in 1960 and has a significant amount of road wear. In pretty good shape except cosmetic findings.
