Maybe not a "cool" story but it's important to me.

I accompanied my best friend to one of Melbourne, Australia's most well stocked music shops where he was looking to buy a few things including a Vox AC30 amp.

As soon as we walked in the door my eyes were drawn to this beautiful gold top double cut Electromatic Jet hanging up in the guitar section.

My guitar hero has always been Malcolm Young, the rhythm player for AC/DC. I've always loved the shape, and sound of his old double cut Firebird Duo Jet, and the gold top I started drooling over was about the closest thing I could afford at the time.

Since then I've become a Gretsch Duo Jet fanatic and now have zero interest in any other brand.

This week I became the VERY happy owner of my second Gretsch, a G6128T-1962.

This story may not be "cool" to others, but it's very cool to me. Cheers :)
