Modifications

Some idiot installed Sperzel locking tuners when I got the guitar, apparently enlarging the peghead holes with a spoon, or perhaps a steak knife.

I modified the original bar bridge (by carefully filing the string grooves) to match the fretboard radius and also compensate for intonation.

This guitar was for sale for a l-o-n-g time in SF. Researching the guitar led me to this board!! Someone had noticed it for sale (a year before I bought it) and posted a public service message here about it. It didn't sell, and the owner reposted it again a year later for a ridiculously low price (possibly because of the butcher-job tuner install). I got it, and joined the GDP!
