Recently on Ebay, I just bought my first Gretsch guitar: A 1956 6192 so beautifull and well kept I couldn't believe it was that old when I picked it out of the case. The guy wouldn't ship to Europe so I had it sent to a friend in Los Angeles, where I was travelling anyways.

The back had this amazing flame (maple?) and there was not even belt marks on it! So clean. But, when I saw the kinda poorly made headstock logo I suspected it to be some kind of well made copy... Sad and worried I drove to my hotel and googled bad headstock logos on vintage Gretsch guitars.. I think you know the conclusion.

Yesterday I brought the guitar to band rehearsal for the first time and wow this machine sounds amazing! I think my old Tele's and Gibson jazz box will be out of work for a while..
