normal strap peg at the butt of the guitar and three holes where someone fit some other tailpiece... also it now has a tunomatic bridge but i still have the original in the original case.
I purchased this guitar from a shop in Melbourne. It was originally brought into the country by Mark Evans(ex AC/DC bass player)who bought it at the Texas Guitar show from the original owner who was quite old at the time. Turns out he was the "spare parts player on the Louisiana Hayride!...Man...If this axe could talk! Apparently the back pickup has the Malcolm Young seal of approval as well. So, now i play it all the time...she is falling apart but i have yet to find another that sounds as unbelievable as this.

oh wow!, both guitar and history… strum-on…. =)
What does the “TAU” refer to? I don’t think it’s germane to the vintage instruments… is it?
@ed no”TAU” is a “modern” thang,just the actual chemical compound for gold,,=)
Finally!! After my search on the internet I have found one! Took me awhile but after i found this site it was a breeze. Anyway I have a 1962 Gretsch 6128 Duo-Jet as well. In fact mine looks, from what I can tell, exactly the same as yours. I recently got this guitar from my father after he passed away in January of this year. I don’t know much about this guitar at all. So any info would be well appreciated. I hope to have mine on this site a.s.a.p. By the way, nice guitar.
