- Modifications
The guitar was sanded in the early 1970s revealing its natural maple colour. It has been left unfinished ever since.
I removed the deep scratch marks with fine abrasive paper leaving in as many of the bruises as possible. My intention is to refinish the guitar, ideally to a close approximation of the colour it should be.
I believe it was a single pickup version originally and had an additional pickup added at some point. The pickup surrounds are different. One is the clear plastic type and the other - chrome.
The original tone switch since used as a pickup selector.
Machine heads were also changed for black Schaller M6N machines.
- Unusual factory features
I believe it left the factory with just one HiLoTron pickup and had an additional pickup added in the late 1960s.
