Modifications

The guitar has had a neck reset and a pick-guard has been add that is not gretsch stock. Everything else is original.

Unusual factory features

This guitar is a bit of a Frankenstein. It has 2 model numbers written on the label. The primary number is a jumble but it may be a 6012 with TS written over top. I rally don't know but the Sweet 16 and Rancher model had the triangular sound hole and the waddle pick-guard which was originally on the guitar as you can see from the photo. The second number is written smaller and in the upper right corner and is still legible- 6003. The Jimmie Rodgers model appears to be a match to the body and neck of the model here. It is rumored that this guitar is a factory one off made by a luthier at Gretsch maybe for personal use or a gift using up factory seconds. I really have no idea.
