Not a cool story but here it is. Presidents Day weekend a music store near me which I am a friend of on Facebook posted a sale of 60% off the sticker on selected makes of guitars if you bought a 59 dollar fender amp. I went up there Saturday of the sale and bought the amp and an Eastwood Airline seafoam green map guitar because I just wanted one, like the looks of it and it had a Bigsby and it was 60% off 799.00. Sunday I went back to buy another Eastwood guitar a classic 12 hollowbody 335 looking guitar just because I thought it was a deal to get the 2 of them for under 600 bucks. The sales girl said I should look at the Gretsch as it was included in the sale as it had been there forever. 1180.00 dollars plus the 59 dollar plus tax fender amp and I was out the door. First Gretsch I have ever owned, been playing 40 plus years and since 1973 I have always played a Tele. I took it to a jam night we have every other Friday night and I enjoyed playing it, bought it to sell but I decided it was a keeper though it won't take over the Tele's spot. Fun to play and sounds like nothing I've ever played before, just got to figure out what the switches and knobs actually do.
