- Modifications
Modified with P-90 pickups, black speed knobs, Schaller locking strap buttons and an orange Les Paul-style switch nob. Also removed the pickguard to complete the blacked-out appearance.
Received this guitar via trade through craigslist. When I picked it up it looked severely neglected - like it had been stored in a woodshed outside, without a case. The body was covered in grime and the hardware had signs of oxidation. However, the wood was in good shape, the neck was straight, and the electronics were good. After a full strip-down, cleaning, waxing, fretboard cleaning and conditioning, a fret polish (and all the modifications listed) she looks gorgeous!
Nice! Dual P90s! I’d love to hear that!
