Added Sperzels and tuneomatic bridge. The string break off the nut was really steep and I always had problems returning to pitch. The arm on the Bigsby came loose often (a common problem I have found for that model).
In 1998, I visited the Grand Opening of the Guitar Center in League City/Webster. They had about five different Gretsches on sale - but looked to be floor models. The volume knob on this one was loose, and so the price on it was $1100. Those days, a hollow body Gretsch under $1500 was pretty rare. I immediately applied for a GC card on the spot and requested $100 off for the volume knob that was rolling around (even though I knew it was a quick fix) They lowered the price and I got the guitar - immediately went home and fixed the volume knob. I never fell in love with the Dynasonics on this particular guitar (although these days I might have a different opinion). In 1998, I took it to the Arlington (TX) guitar show and walked around with that heavy thing for about 3 hours - no trades or sales. Went back in 1999 and traded it within 10 minutes to Dave's Guitar Shop for a '99 6120 Standard - had to have the Filtertrons. I'm often curious who ended up with it and I keep looking for a DEO with Sperzels.
