Just the tail piece which broke and Gretsch sent me this one.
- Unusual factory features
The original talipiece broke so I ordered another from Gretch and this is what they sent. Bird's-Eye Maple back and sides. I started to refinish it 35 yrs. ago until I found out it would hurt the price. The neck is straight after all these years! A Gretsch representative called Nashville some 30 yrs. ago and he talked to someone called "Shot" whom he said had been with the company since day one, and shot told him there were only eleven of these made.

I fell in love with this guitar when I saw it in the window. I came home and told my mother that I was in love. She thought it was a girl. I took my paper route money and bought the guitar and an Alamo amplifier for $150.00. It has been in the family since. My son learned to play on it. I took lessons for one year but sadly didn't progress beyond that.
