Introduced in 2008, the Billy Zoom Jet was a limited edition custom shop effort to duplicate Billy's well-used classic Silver Jet as closely as humanly possible. The internal chambering, for example, is identical to mid-'50s Jets, and it faithfully duplicates the changes Zoom made over the years. In fact, compared to a standard modern-era 6129, the BZ has a different body, different neck, different binding and inlay, different pickups (Seymour Duncan Dynasonics), different tailpiece (B-12 Bigsby), and different pots and wiring. The Melita bridge and knobs are the same. Sort of. About 50 were made.
