6108
The super-rare 6108 leaves even Gretsch experts scratching their heads. Only a handful have surfaced, and all seem to share an odd mix of other models combined with a few strange twists of it's own.
It starts with a thin line Clipper body, and what appears to be a dot-inlay Clipper neck, only with a zero fret. Then add in a Sal Salvador-style pick guard, complete with guard-mounted controls. Topping it all off is an bizarre HiLoTron-style pickup with no exposed pole pieces.
The few that have turned up appear to all have serial numbers in the 396XX range. It appears unlikely even a full batch was made.
