My first Gretsch, bought when Musician's Friend was blowing out the Historic Series in early 2003. I knew nothing about Gretsch at the time, and only chose it because I wanted an acoustic that DIDN'T look like a Takamine/Ibanez/etc... It's the guitar that started me down a long road, and is the one guitar that I wouldn't trade for any amount of money.

Historic series

The Historic line raised a lot of eyebrows when it was introduced in 1999. First, despite the name there really wasn't much in common with historic Gretsch models.
