Gretsch Brian Setzer signature models

When Brian Setzer became a Gretsch signature endorser in the early 90s, he was already easily one of the best-known and loved Gretsch players around. In the years since, he’s practically become Mr. Gretsch, acting as a both a high-profile ambassador for the brand and a source for new ideas to expand the range.

His signature guitars have expanded from a single model, very loosely based on his beloved ‘59/‘60 examples, to a wide range, including the Hot Rods and Black Phoenix.

18 different models and 123 examples are in the Gretsch-GEAR database, including Brian Setzer, Brian Setzer Black Phoenix, Brian Setzer Hot Rod and Brian Setzer Tribute models.

  1. I play in a 50’s/60’s band called RB/X. I’ve been using the 6120 SSLVO for the past three years. What a great guitar. It seems like during every gig, I get compliments and questions on my Gretsch.

  2. i just acquired a 2004 hot rod gretsch and its simply amazing!!! its almost like the perfect guitar. and if they have your favorite color…what else can I say? pick one up and play it through whatever amp…it will make your guitar playing sing. its a tone monster!!!
