I installed a brass nut and replaced the Syncro-sonic bridge with an aluminum Tru-Arc Serpentune bridge. I am keeping the original nut and the Syncro-sonic bridge so it will be easy to return the guitar to stock condition. I also changed the stock 500K CTS pots for 1 Meg CTS pots. I used an audio pot for the master volume and linear pots for the independent volumes and the tone knob.

Unusual factory features

The guitar came stock with Arrow knobs and a black painted Bigsby.

I was searching for my Holy Grail guitar, the guitar that would define my sound, feel and play like I want an electric guitar to play. After a lot of research and playing different guitars I started honing in on a few specific models. A Dynasonic equipped Gretsch Duo Jet quickly ascended to the top of that list. The first time I played one plugged in at a local music store I knew instantly that I found what I was looking for. Next was finding a good deal on the exact model I decided on, the G6128T-DSV. I found this one from Rocky at Street Sounds in Brooklyn. He had it listed as a used guitar but when I called him about it he informed me that a guy bought it but returned it soon after in exchange for a Custom Shop guitar. I bought it on February 1, 2012 and it arrived on February 9, 2012.
