Okay; just one more before the weekend blitz is over. Just one of the many great songs by The Beatles.

Beautiful song, beautifully played. Nice, clean phrasings, and the emotion of the song is clearly felt by this listener. Another winner, Richard.

So why can't I do that?
Sounds great. Doesn't put me to sleep, though. This is the kind of playing that makes me focus and think about the arrangement. If I ever do something good, I'll post it.

I'll try to do some more Beatles songs. This one was hurriedly put together - little choppy in places; but I can smooth that out with a little practice. Sure is a pretty song though.
Thanks for listening,
Richard

Ah Ha! You've had two years longer than I have to have a real good reason to learn "When I'm Sixty-Four"!
Ya got a version?!

Well, fighter man, I don't think mine loved me when I was 24; let alone 64.
I think I tried to finger pick that one a long time ago and it was a little tricky; but we'll give it a shot sometime and see what happens.

Richard, great playing as always!
I would be curious...Do you create these arrangements, or do you find them and then learn them?

Geez, Richard, that is absolutely beautiful. Your tone and expression are among the best I have ever heard. Is there a new album in the works perhaps? I hope so.
On cold winter evenings when I was a kid I used to lay down on the living room floor in front of our family record player next to a warm fire and listen to my dad's Chet Atkins records for hours on end. Your instrumentals take me right back to that special place in time which is still so dear to me.
Thanks again for sharing.

Great interpretation, Richard. I'm not a very jealous person, and I don't feel the sting of jealousy very often. But when I hear you do stuff like this... OUCH!

Ric, most of my arrangements are from scratch; however, I must admit Chet's interpretation influenced me greatly on this one. Talk about taking you back, when Conchieta and I were newlyweds, we used to stack 33's up on our stereo every night before we went to bed and go to sleep listening to Chet, Duane, Al Hirt and others. It's hard to find good recorded instrumentals anymore; and for sure not in the mainstream. They are just not popular with the general public anymore for some reason. They don't know what they are missing. Just my opinion, but I can't imagine anyone thinking any other way.

That is beautiful Richard
Man, i love the tone you get, pure class.
I like Till There Was You,i know they didn't write it but, it has some lovely chords going on. Ever tried that one Richard? I know Chet did a version that i've had a go at.

Well, I'll trade bank accounts with Sir Paul; even after old what's her name got through with him.
I don't know as much about the Beatles as most of you guys do; but for some reason Sir Paul always kinda stuck out as being one of the more talented ones. George seemed to be content to lay back and play his guitar. I always enjoyed his playing. History will be kind to them for sure.

Great playin' man, really. I'm not really a Beatles fan, but that sounded awesome. I prefer that to the original any day.
