Century Bob, thanks, buddy. I hope you'll enjoy. I recorded most of the songs using my N.Zaganin Jazzmaster with an old Fender "brownface" Super amp. Always using a Fender reverb unit. I also used Pete Curry's Tele ("the dog and the squirrel"), a Jaguar (for "Tico-Tico") and another JM with flatwounds. We used a Magnatone troubador in a couple of tunes. Joao, the songs sounded awesome. I love them all. My favorites were the first one and OUR WAY, which reminded me of Cake. You guys have some cool sounds going on there! Congrats.
Wenzel, It's too bad I'm not playing "Our Way" with the trio. Some of the tunes from the "Guitar Bizarre Cds" requires more "layers" and there's always at least two guitars on the lead and something going on on the backgroung. That's why I recorded "The L.A. Session" as a "live trio" thing (almost) with no overdubs. So I can play the tunes live without feeling there's something missing. :) I'm playing the "frevos" anyway cause they are busy melodies. I hope Chet 57 will have fun tonight!

that's close enough, yes... You can say "Joo-ow" or "Jo-ow", depending on the accent.
I've also found this website ( http://br.geocities.com/bancodesotaques/ ) with the same phrases in different accents. Pretty good.

Joao, I must have been living under a rock or something, and hadn't seen this thread before now. I just listened to your songs for the first time, and you have laid down some very nice tracks. I grew up in Southern California during the original surf music phase (Dick Dale, et al) and so I still have a soft spot in my heart for surf music. You have created your own niche within that genre and it sounds mighty fine!
Are your CD's available through normal channels? Or just through CD Baby and iTunes Store?
Also, is the lo-fi video of the studio still available to view anywhere?
Hey Ric! Thanks for checking my music! It's funny because I don't consider myself a "surf guy" but there are, of course, some surfish flavors on the mix. The response that I'm having from the "surf community" is awsome. I'm hoping for a little tour in California in January.
