Shuie,
I left a longer comment at YouTube, but your rendition was AWESOME... BRAVO! I want the chord chart badly.
Now, that's class. Bravo!!!
What a lovely voice has Mrs. Shuie and the guitar playing was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks,
Richard
Hey, Shuie,
You and the missus are knocking us out over here. The text was informative and lots of fun.
This improves the Internet.

Loved the song.
Mr and Mrs Shuie, that is a very nice rendition you two have done. Really enjoyed. Can we look for more in the future ? Thanks. Don
Just tried posting the chords - damn thing made it look a complete mess. If you want the tabs please PM me and I'll try and send it as an attachment. Bear, you've already got yours- check your U-Tube. Checked out your 'Sleepwalk', lovely!
Thanks for the positive feedback, guys.
Shuie
Nice job and hats off to Mrs. Shuie. Great song but not an easy one to sing.
Here's some additional trivia you can add to your video. I once read that Hoagy always refered to the song as "Star Dust".
Thanks for the chart Shuie and the lovely note from your Mrs. I really appreciate it and thanks for your comments on "Sleepwalk". When I am able to get a decent web cam, I'll post some new stuff with my Gretsch.
Shuie
Great guitar playing and the Mrs...what a voice. Thank you so much for sharing!
Absolutely stunning. We have listened twice now. Great playing Shuie, BUT, your lovely wife is fantastic. The hardest song to sing on Earth, and she is magnificent. More please.
p.s. Duane says..."Funny thing, how guitar players marry the girl singer."
That was just beautiful Shuie, your Mrs sure has a lovely voice
That's as well done as I've ever heard it, you two, and I've heard it done a bunch!
"Stardust" is not only a "world heritage standard" (if there's such a thing in music, and there ought to be), it's local bedrock since Hoagy was from my (current) hometown, and wrote it here.
A bench on the campus of IU is kinda dedicated to him, with the suggestion that he might've written "Stardust" there, but the real story is better.
In Hoagie's own typewritten words...

If there weren't a durn football game on campus today (which produces intolerable traffic), I'd go take some Hoagy-place pictures.
Thanks for a beautiful rendition!
PROT, YOU NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE!!!
Shuie, that was awesome! Sounded nice and old school, just the way I love them! Keep it up, you and the missus...
I know I already commented on the great job you guys did; but I couldn't help but wonder what it would sound like in a real studio setting. Don't get me wrong. Your recording is great but in a real studio setting just your guitar and that beautiful voice of hers....Man oh man.
Stardust or Star Dust has always been one of my favorites. Just great.
Shuie,
I thought that was fantastic, great guitar playing and awesome singing! Do you have any more recordings?
That was superb Shuie! Great guitar and such sweet singing from your wife. She has a beautiful vibrato.
Deed Eddy said: p.s. Duane says..."Funny thing, how guitar players marry the girl singer."Well my lovely wife can't sing to save her life even, so I guess that rules me out as a guitar player!
The only really good reason to play and sing a song is for someone to enjoy it, even just for that short moment. We're so glad that so many of you took the time to listen and respond so kindly.
I'm especially tickled that Sonya's singing has gone down so well. I think she sings lovely. But I'm biased. You've all given her a real boost. Deed, she nearly fell over when she heard you and Duane had a listen! She wasn't alone. Thank you all.

Ladyscaglyc, check your e-mail for the chords.
Proteus, great links. Had no idea of the history of this song, especially being so close to where you are. I'd love to see some pictures of Hoagy's territory whenever you get the chance.
Shuie,Thank you very much for the chords. I pulled out the Falcon tonite to work out the voicing. As soon as I get it down, I plan on introducing Sonya's phrasing to our singer, Therese, (unless you guys are in town somenight!!) Thanks again for the great sound. s/Vin
