Calacas, that picture wouldn't be Los Straitjackets would it when they were kids?
Texarock, I'm down for a CD too!!! I can't wait to have a listen. I don't even know what it sounds like yet, but when Mark Synchro gave his comments, it sold me. Mark and I are on some linear wavelength of musical likes and dislikes. If Mark likes it that much, I'm sure I'm going to LOVE it!
Congrats... I'm still slowly dredging through my new CD. The Air Force keeps slowing me down 10 fold...

I got the CD in the mail yesterday (thanks Jay!!!!) and it ROCKS! It's seriously fun party music heavy on the Bo Diddley, Link Wray, and surf influences, it put me in a great mood.
The sound and production is fantastic, it features an all-star lineup of musicians (and great people), and some really catchy tunes.
And Jay is getting the guitar tones we all dream of, seriously. The sound I think of when I think "Gretsch".
Jay, you should seriously try to get this CD to some publishers - it would be perfect for movie soundtracks and/or commercials. (which is pretty much the only way left to make some money with this kind of music...)
Highly recommended, great CD, thanks again.

This CD is simply right on! I listened to it last sat on my way to a gig and was smiling all the way up the PA NE extension with sun shining and the sounds just knockin me out.
So well produced, well written , and executed. Did I say I liked it--you hit that nail right on the head.
Buy this CD. I haven't heard a better instrumental roots CD in a long time if ever.
The arrangements are so on the money for the Bo era instrumentals-piano & sax--wow I gotta get to that studio for some of that mojo!!!
Jay rocks!!!!!

Hey Gang!
Like WOW!
It looks official that I will be one of the opening openers of the event of the year, Deke Dickerson's Guitar Geek Festival 2009!
It's going to be a blast and for me, a real privilege to be included! I am sure Deke is going to put together a great show as usual.
I am absolutely flipped because joining me will be:
Pete Curry on drums!
Ron Dziubla on sax!
Carl Sonny Leyland on piano!
Wally Hersom on bass!
Cranked? Why yes, thank you!
As the great Deke himself has said,
"Come early, stay late. Bring your cousin if you can't get a date."
