http://youtu.be/cB1Oxctiaok notice the drunken out of tune crowd, love it.
This is a super fun band to play in. This was only my second show with them, I was still getting used to the songs. I hope to get some better video/audio soon.
Also here is a drunken practice recording I did on my iPad using garage band and my Blue Yeti mic. No EQ, just a touch of reverb added in GarageBand. Just three of us live, guitar/vocals, me on resomando, and our upright player.
Seems like a very fun band. I love it when the audience and the band are both having a good time.
I couldn't get the audio link to work and I had to cut and paste the video link, but that was a whole lot of fun, although I wasn't drunk (here at work at 7:50 am) so I suppose it could be even more fun.
Thanks Bob! The audio link you have to download and play using iTunes or quicktime. I uploaded it to my website right quick and havent set it to stream yet.
Sounds great. I think you'll have a bunch of fun with this music. I really like the sound of that resomando thing. (Where did you find that? I must have missed the link.) Very percussive. Who needs a drummer?
Oh yea! Now I remember that thread. Cool. Did you get the Rancher Dreadnought from the NAMM giveaway yet? Need a review.

Still no word on the Rancher Dreadnought. I heard something about the prize winners names/address not getting to Joe until the Balto Roundup last week, or something like that. Here's hopin it comes soon! I can't wait to record it with my new Yeti Mic for a review/demo
Here's a taste of my drunken mandolin skillz.

Sort of an American Pogues sort of thing, long needed in this country, IMO.
I got it online, it's a Recording King brand Resonator Mandolin, brass body. http://gretschpages.com/for...
Funny, we actually started covering Dirty Old Town, and I've talked the other guys into throwing some traditional irish tunes into our set.
