Well, I was working on this a little this afternoon. Just curious if anyone thinks it's any good? I'm not a jazz guitarist really, so this was really tough for me. Thanks for your comments!

That realy sounded good Chris! I loved the snare that were in the back ground! Keep it up!!
Sounded real good Chris nice job. Barry
You nailed Joe Pass' tone. Just, dead, nailed it.
Thanks guys! I love Joe Pass' work. I just recently got into him. I wasn't purposely trying to get his tone, I guess it just happened. I was playing my SSLVO with flatwounds, as usual, with the same normal amp settings I always use, but I had the pickup selector set to the neck pickup with half mud on the mudd switch (down position).
I'm inspired to try and play more songs in this way now, thanks to your encouragement!
Thanks a lot!
Chris
Chris, I've been foolin' with that song for years. Never got close to what I liked. You got it, amigo. Very nice arrangement and smoothly executed. This the second jazz type clip you've posted for us. You seem to have a resource for chord progressions or tabs that I'd love to get my hands on. Care to share your secret? Or am I not giving you proper credit for your own creativity?
You're really expanding your skill. Good job.
Gresco, thanks! I have a brother that I can bounce ideas off of via the telephone and when I'm back home in California we can collaborate. That's my only secret. My brother and I figured out the chords to this song via a clip of the song on youtube, not an easy task, but we did it. I have the chord transcriptions that I wrote out on chord paper if you want them. I'm about to scan them in and make a pdf file of the chords for anyone who wants to learn how to play this song.
The mind is an ever-expanding tool and if you don't use you'll lose it. If you take an open minded approach that anything is possible to music then you too will find the secret to my success. Just send a check for $19.99 to PO BOX 666 Hell's corner New Jersey and you too can have all of the wenzels secrets... lol
I like it
I watched some other versions from youtube, but I liked the feeling and atmosphere of your version the best.
That was Pretty Darn Good!
Jukka and ronny, thanks guys!!! I am in love with the tone of the SSLVO with flatwounds and the blues deluxe reissue amp. It's a very versatile combo!
Thanks, Chris. I'll PM you. I've sent the check Hades Express via a passing Gargoyle carrier.
Wenzel said: I wasn't purposely trying to get his tone, I guess it just happened.C'mon now. I have surveillance video of you copying Joe's sound.
That was very nice Chris, very nice indeed
Hey wenzel -- really nice! I can't play in that style at all
Very smooth and cool. BTW, while I was listening, my wife walked by and asking if that was Laurence Juber!
