That was beautiful, Jayce. It is hard to beat the tone of a good Strat. During my 30+ years of gigging, I used a Strat more than any other guitar.

If it came down to only having one guitar, as much as I love all of my guitars, my Strat would be the keeper. They are just so versatile. I wire mine so the center position is the neck and bridge pickups together. The middle pickup only comes into play in positions 2 and 4. Position 1 is neck pickup only and position 5 is bridge pickup only.

I just rewire as 1 vol and 1 tone, im happy with singly and the inbetween sounds.

We had a guy who used to fingerpick his strat with the church band. He sounded pretty good. I was just wondering how comfortable that would be. My grandson has a Squier Strat that has pretty high frets. I guess you could get used to it. Have you guys ever fingerpicked your Strats much?

Yep if drop the pick or somthing, ill re-record it tomoro sans pick.

Yes, I do so quite frequently on mine. Since I have the guitar wired so that the center position on the switch is the combination of the neck and bridge pickups, I get some very nice fingerstyle tones from it.
