Hey guys, I just made a teaser about my new project, "American Landscapes". There will be more videos and a whole album. This is different then everything I did so far. I hope you enjoy.
I might be playing this set soon in the US. Cheers

Good news, João, that the new album will be coming out soon.
If the song, New Mexico, is indicative of what is on the rest of the album, it does, indeed, represent a significant departure from your prior recordings. And the use of a single guitar, perhaps as a solo instrument without bass or drums in support, will also create a different sound for you.
I liked what I heard and am keenly interested in what the rest of the album sounds like.
By the way, the "teaser" that you have created is very well done. The mood which it creates is right in line with the overall concept of the album.
I also found the connection which you had with your father through the National Geographic magazines to be both interesting and touching.
Best of luck to you on this project, João.

That's beautiful, João. You're one of the most distinctive and musically satisfying players working today – I hope you get more of the exposure and recognition you deserve. More people should hear you!

Sounds like a great concept. Be sure to let us all know when it's available.

Thanks for sharing this Joao. I have often enjoyed listening to your music. I enjoyed the space in this particular tune. While you are capable of burning up the guitar neck, you really created a more contemplative tune by letting the notes ring. What an excellent choice.
I can see this tune ending up on a mtoion picture soundtrack or elsewhere. I hope this pays off for you.
Thank-you for your music.

I've already heard some of João's new stuff, all I can say is that his music is brilliant, as always is.

Hey Bob, the video was done by a good friend and very talented guy. I'm thinking of having more videos like that to illustrate the album. I might do a kickstarter project and try to get some money to do so. I'll tell you my story with Natgeo + my dad + US live, in the near future. It's kinda funny. In 2009, after a tour, I wrote an photo album for them. It's still on. Check it out: Link...
Hey Tim! Thanks! I just found your email. Replying asap!
Thanks guys. I'm glad you enjoyed. I might upload more songs soon. It's quite cool to play all by yourself from time to time. There's a freedom on this, that it's hard to achieve when you have a band with you. Really cool to have both worlds.
