The Woodshed

It finally happened.

1

I've played the 8-string so much that when I picked up a 6 today (a baritone, no less), it felt like a toy.

2

Wait till you play a 9 string like I do/did.

3

You using these?

4

Do your fingers feel longer?

5

Adding new neural pathways will do that every time...8*6 math now understood better than most.

6

I played a Fender Precision Bass in a band for about three years, during that time a six string felt tiny. Now it's the other way around, my bass feels huge! It's funny how that happens, we're creatures of habit so it would seem. I adapt back and forth fairly quickly, it's just that initial moment or two that feels odd.

7

I'm still trying to figure out how to play 6 decent enough.

I’m with you, brutha!

(Kinda) on topic, if you ever wanna warm up faster playing electric, spend 20 minutes before on a 12-string acoustic.
