Darrel Higham ultra cool performance

1

Hi everybody, I really appreciate Darrel Higham playing! He's very accurate, skilled but he can make mistakes (not in this video) and that makes him human, that's important!! Though sometimes he uses to quote licks he always does it in a very personal way... I mean he plays in a sincere, honest way! You can hear he's very passionate for rockabilly (cochran, vincent, burnette) all mixed up and played enjoying it!!

Have a look at this:

Wondering if anyone have ever tabbed this wonderful instrumental... it would be very cool to learn!!

That was great. The best endorsement for a Peavey amp I could imagine.

3

First 25 sec. of the tab... any help is welcome!!

Wow

7

That's got some real swagger! Funny, but looking at the sheet music I thought, "Aren't those triplets?" Goes to show what I know...

8

That's gonna sell a lot of peaveys & Gretschs!

9

Darrell is a great player. I always enjoy listening to him. That was great.

i have buy the new cd from one of his friend Alan Mills. Darrel play guitar on this record and provide an excellent backing and lead guitar work.

Isn't this an old recording (1999 or so) and just re-released?

Yes it's an old one. Sorry.

As we're delving in Mr. H's past, I'd like to bring the AMAZING Johnny Bach and the Moonshine Boozers to your attention. The band consisted of Darrel, John Lewis (no mean guitarist either!) and Ricky Lee Brawn. I have three albums of theirs but there may be more out there.

Here's a hit for your delectation: []

Not sure that this qualifies as 'Gretsch porn' but it might float someone's boat here.

Darrell's got it in spades!
