The text in this post says it all.

Congratulations, and play it in good health.

This has got to be one of the very best looking guitars Gretsch ever produced.

What's the best thing to use to clean the pickup?

23

Nothing petroleum based. It will cause the old bobbin plastic to craze; I found out the hard way in 1983. I use a solution of Dr. Bronners soap available at any health food shop to clean all of the guitar -- the old nitro lacquer especially loves the pure castile soap.
