Vintage Gretsch Guitars

Looking brand new!

There's one very similar to these at Real Guitars in SF. It seems to have an asymmetrical neck profile; shallower on the treble side and fatter on the bass side, sort of an 'off-center V' if that makes any sense.

I was tempted to get it but I don't think it had a truss rod and the action was a mile high, so neck reset needed.

Was I imagining things or did some of these have an asymmetrical neck shape?

That store, oddly, doesn't have a website and bragging it's the oldest vintage shop in the city. Can't find it on Reverb either. What are they asking for it? What else can you tell us about it? Finish color, f-holes or cat's eye's, all brass tuners or ivoroid buttons?

There' a 160 been on Reverb for awhile and while nice, the seller is pissin' in the wind wanting $8795. Optimistic doesn't begin to describe his asking price.

Bradomatic, Thanks for adding the guitar to the database. I updated the listing to reflect the correct model and year.

111XX is a 1953 batch number.
