yeah, craig's great but he takes forever, like months, and he's hard to pin down on turnaround time. i've gone to see pete stokes(?), also near Berklee, but not crazy about the work he's done on a couple of my vintage guitars in the past (refret on ES-225, various stuff on Guild CE-100D, etc). i know he's done work for various high-profile clients, so dunno. think it's time to go see the Wolfman. i can imagine he's busy as all heck at this time of the year, and being near Berklee too. i'll look him up. thanks!

If you're on the north shore or can get to Beverly, I've had good experiences with Jim Colangelo at JC's Guitar Shop - 978-927-3498. He's worked on a couple of my guitars and amps. All well done.
He restored a friends 58 - 6120 beautifully - that's the only Gretsch I know first hand that he's worked on. He's great with amps as well as guitars. I've never heard of anyone that had a bad experience with his work.
Good luck - peace - Z

I second Jim Mouradian (now in Winchester). He did a neck reset (along with other repairs) on my '64 Country Gent and his work was impeccable.
