Hi all,
The topic heading says it all. I've got a 64 Gent and was wondering what the neck radius on these vintage Gents were.
Thanks, Bob

I'm hoping it's 12". Stew Mac sells 12" radius 25" scale boards. I always prefer buying pre-made ones if possible.
It could easily be flatter like 16".
Should be 12" radius and 24.6" scale. That is what I now use on my custom guitars too. It is possible for the radius to be different though. I just repaired a vintage Jet with a 10" radius.
When I re-fretted my 57' Streamliner it was an original 16" radius. My 59' 6120 looks more like 12" or 14", I'll have to double check.
Most of the vintage Gretsches I have owned were 16"
Very interesting responses! I am 99% sure my 59 is a 12" radius fingerboard. I will have to check. I never checked the 57 before I sold it to Deke. If JBJ's was a 16", then I am guessing mine was too.
Right now the 59 is my only vintage Gretsch.
