Vintage Gretsch Guitars

decent deal if you do your own work

Still seems a tad high even for a do-it-yourselfer? They rate it as fair condition so perhaps there's other issues not seen or mentioned?

No Chet markings....6113?

hmmm that headstock looks repainted or something. I know it's normal to see a box around the logo , but knife marks?? I think it's too rich for a fixer upper. I wonder if the separation requires a reset or if just looks bad. Could be a great guitar though.

I have seen ones in person they rate fair that are actually ok. GC pix you can't really tell much.

I had an early -- prototype?? -- Tenny exactly like this one, including zero Chet markings.

You'd think they could take better photos than those in the ad.

For that money & given the condition of the guitar, I'd rather have a modern re-issue.

I agree! Given the suspect issues and the price of new Tenny's from dealers like Rocky, etc., I think the price on that guitar is seriously over-priced.

Nice color but I see rot.
