Hello everybody, I'm new to this board, just got a Gretsch 8) Tennessee rose as you could read in the title, and I really want to make it my guitar and no one else's. I'm planning on making a customized pickguard starting from a transparent one. Does anyone know if a 5120 pickguard would fit on a 6119?

GDP member Paul Setzer - member name "Setzer" - has proven to be a magician at making pickguards of all types. You can see a few examples of his work in this thread,

Looking at the shapes of the 5120 and 6119 pickguards in that thread, there appears to be a quite a bit of difference in their shapes, which might be a concern if you want something accurate to the TR body style.

Here's what it looks like ... 
if you line up the pickup cutouts the holes in guitar don't quite line up ... easily modifiable, but I have to believe Setzer will have a better solution for you
Electromatic guards will not fit the "pro line" guitars and the pro line guards will not fit vintage guitars. They can be made to fit but you end up with more holes...some where.
