I've had this old lady for a while, wondered if anyone could give me any info on age, value, etc. The pics should tell the story including the serial number on the headstock (2369). No label inside that I can see. Don't remember ever seeing this headstock logo. Also interested in the possibility of finding a replacement pickguard. Thanks for any help you can give.
Anyone know what I have here??

Howdy. You have a early to mid 40's Gretsch "banner" style guitar. The fingerboard has been replace as well as the tuners. value is hard to say. This is not a good time to sell and these older guitars are not that valueable. This might fall in the sub $700-800 range. Someone would have to be looking for one. This one missing the original fingerboard and tuners as well as a missing pickguard drops the cost about 50%. Nice old guitar, but not terriblely valueable.

Interesting guitar. Looks like a model 50 headstock but with fingerboard inlays similar to, but possibly narrower than?, those on a model 40.

Might be the original finger board.
Here is what is reported to be a 1936 model 50. I kind of doubt the date but the fingrboard is the same.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the info. I do think the fingerboard is original, I've looked closely and (I'm no expert) but it does appear to be original. On my guitar, I'm surprised at the 'roughness' of the fretboard inlays and the headstock inlays which are not really even centered on the headstock! The picture ANTIK provided is definitely the same guitar model and it's great to see the pickguard style (if the one shown is original). I wonder if the serial numbers on these guitars give any useful information about actual production dates. Thanks again for the help!!
