That looks like an anniversary that's configured like the cat's eye ones, but with regular f-holes.
Pretty ambitious BIN on it though!

Nice annie there. I like the hi-lo gibson combo going on there and the custom black finish is different. I like it!

WarpDrive can be good folks to deal with, and at least a few years ago you could get real with them on prices.
But since they've started this "biggest Gretsch dealer in the universe" vibe, they sure seem proud pricewise of the stuff they post on Ebay.
Looks like a nice guitar.

I know I am probably in a distinct minority, but this guitar doesn't really do it for me. One of the most luxurious things about the Gretsch lineup is that they sport some incredible colors. I know that the black Falcon, Penguin and a few others exist, but often those have some other colorful feature about them, like the Falcon and Penguin models.
And, I like a Gretsch to have a Gretsch control configuration. If I want a Gibson, I'll buy one, thank you. (Already have, lol. But, you know what I mean.)

Interesting. The shipping charge to Europe is $832. It's not just the guitar that's overpriced.

Very interesting git. Speaking just for me, I could think of a hundred better ways to spend those 6500 guitar bucks. One for the rich palate, I spoz. If Jay Leno was into guitars same way he is with automobiles, it'd be gone by now.

LOL! I hadn't even looked at that. Is someone on their staff bringing it on a plane? You could actually do that for that money. -

Cool looking annie, but 6500 bucks is insane. Yes, it's custom, likely one off. But... that doesn't make it more "collectible" IMHO. Seems like that's Wart Drives schtick though...($$$$$$$$$$$$$)

Oh I agree! I thought the price was way too high. The vintage guitar market has made a lot of people very rich because there are people out there with more dollars than sense that will pay the insane prices. Let's get real, more than a quarter of a million dollars for a Les Paul, $75K for a 1951 Telecaster? All of a sudden an Annie for $6.5K sounds like a bargain... NOT!!! You can't blame the dealers. Like P.T. Barnum so aptly put it, There's a sucker born every minute."

Poor P. T. Barnum, that quote has been associated with him, but he's not the one who said. It came about during the time of the "Cardiff Giant" hoax. It was actually uttered by David Hannum.
That annie is still not worth 6500 bucks though

WackyPedia states:
"There's a sucker born every minute" is a phrase often credited to P.T. Barnum (1810 – 1891), an American showman. It is generally taken to mean that there are (and always will be) a lot of gullible people in the world.
However, when Barnum's biographer tried to track down when Barnum had uttered this phrase, all of Barnum's friends and acquaintances told him it was out of character. Barnum's credo was more along the lines of "there's a customer born every minute" — he wanted to find ways to draw new customers in all the time because competition was fierce and people could become bored easily.
While some sources claim the quote is most likely from famous con-man Joseph ("Paper Collar Joe") Bessimer,[1] it was actually uttered by David Hannum, spoken in reference to Barnum's part in the Cardiff Giant hoax. Hannum, who was exhibiting the original giant and had sued Barnum unsuccessfully for exhibiting a copy and claiming it was the original, was referring to the crowds continuing to pay to see Barnum's exhibit even after both it and the original had been proven to be fakes.
In turn, Barnum's fellow circus owner and arch-rival Adam Forepaugh attributed the quote to Barnum in a newspaper interview in an attempt to discredit him. However, Barnum never denied making the quote. It is said that he thanked Forepaugh for the free publicity he had given him.

Yeah, I remember reading about it a while back. I had googled the quote after my wife and I were talking about it.
I read a long write up on the whole Cardiff Giant hoax and came across the tidbit that said he didn't say it.
In this case, it appears the wackypedia page is accurate.
