He's got a 57 Roundup for the same crazy price.
It's only crazy because I'm not loaded. If I was, I'm sure it would seem reasonable.
Yeah, Right.
Good thing the economy is "in the tank"![]()
Did you notice the orientation of the pups???
That price may seem crazy compared to other Duo Jets from that period, but considering the rarity of these Cad Green Jets, and mythical their uber-coolness, it may not be that crazy. Scirpty Jets are getting $8-10k (apologies to the "Yikes Jet" guy). Clean/original 6120's are still in the $9-11k range, even in this soft market. Not that I could justify paying $13k for it, but I think others who have that kind of budget might. These things are a holy grail for many Gretsch fans. I'd rather lay down $13k for this, than twice that for some 60's Strat... but that's just me.
KC, I could never understand the price of those various "planks"
I agree with your thinking on this one.
Anybody know, or asked for the serial number on this one?
Paul, This Caddy green Jet is #262xx (as per the seller) just like Red Army Overdrives was/is. Seems to have been a mini-batch, of which I think there was one other.
The Roundup doesn't even have the tooled leather trim!
When does the price come down on a rare guitar to account for play wear? I mean, that thing needs frets, has deep fingernail wear on the fretboard, and badly needs a neck reset. It's a very cool guitar however, and a model that is lacking in my collection!
I remember seeing one for sale in the UK back in 1988 for £1500!
They said it was a 58, i didn't see it, so don't know if it had neo's or hump inlays.
It was suppose to be mint too.
I love it >_>
I want it <_<
But for that money I could buy like 4 jets.. I'd do that
Ok, lets go on with real life..
