Men (and women) at work.
The sound at this event was superb. Plenty loud, fat, punchy, detailed, clear. Kudos to the sound contractor, and to the crew on the job. Here's part of that crew at work: the mixer man, and the monitor mixer man.
And hey, the gear works hard too!
Danny B Harvey stopped by the Gretsch booth and played a bit through the 125th Anniversary Variety amp, delivering some of his signature flaming-fingered licks, and looking great as he did it.
The Reverend made time before his sermon in song to sign a few autographs.
Nice long line of parishioners!
GDP member LiRM35 came all the way from Manhattan Kansas for the event. (And it was a pleasure meeting you too...wish we could have had more time to hang out!) Here he is getting his Rev poster.
More Rev fans.
Of course it wouldn't be fittin' for a Reverend to provide such a thing, but Unknown Hinson offers breast-signing services during his set, inviting husbands and boyfriends (or presumably both) to accompany their womerns to the procedure.
There's quite a line for Unknown sigs, and I knew you'd want to have a signing documented. I'm always on the spot for y'all.
Proteus at work... posting in the dressing room while the world rocks 20 yards away.
And Kim, posting a short note to all her adoring fans...
Guana Batz' bassist Johnny Bowler's lovely instrument, resting up before the show in the dressing room.
Left to right, that's Jimbo of RHH, Brophy Dale (back to us) and Buzz Campbell (partially hidden) of Lee Rocker, and of course the man himself.
