Our winners are Gretschmaster and stjohn...
And let's do another one, huh?
For one of these swank Gretsch keychains,
can someone tell me what Johnny song must surely have introduced the term "psychobilly"?
One winner.

Fleet footed keyboardist...reminds me of a friend of mine who danced along when he played in his band. He insisted on standing while playing the keyboard.
EDIT: Upon closer reading, I see that you typed fleet fingered. Whatever, my little off topic rant stands!

May 17, 2008 6:31 p.m. Gretschmaster:
That reminds me of Edgar Winter. He strapped his keyboard around his neck and danced around the stage when I saw him live a few years ago. It was pretty cool.

I played that tune in a former band every weekend for about a year. It kind of burns itself in your memory- especially that same "Hot Rod Lincoln" (which was written in the 40's) guitar riff. I was stoked when I found the 45 for 25 cents at Value Village though.

Well whut the heck, the last of the psycho-delic country-western troubadors is sangin' one-a-his countrified blues ballads to all the purty womerns, so let's give some stuff away.
Let's pretend for the moment that Unknown Hinson might actually have a secret life he doesn't like to talk about. Can anyone come up with the any factual history about pre-Unknown Hinson? A name? A biographical fact?
We'll give a durn spiffy Gretsch keychain to the best two responses.

That Stuart Baker fella's just an obsessed fan. There's no secret life to the Unknown. He's always been the King of Country Western Troubadours. It was a conspiracy - a conspiracy I tell ya that put him in the clink!

May 17, 2008 11:04 p.m. Proteus:
Here's what I'm going to do here. Ric12String wins for being the first with the mere facts (as far as anyone can determine).
But Devils_Tool transcends the restrictive confines of mere factuality to express the inner truth, and wins as well.
And since the Rev is currently seeing Unknown's Hendrix and raising him some Black Sabbath (there's rockabilly for ya!), how about a Gretsch belt buckle AND a Playboy shirt for the first right answer to a question which cannot be looked up:
What bass player just joined the Rev onstage for "That's Alright Mama" and a few other perennial rockingbilly chestnuts?
