I wonder if he was on some 'Doctor' prescribed psychotropic drug, deceptively referred to as 'medication,' ('meds') when he did it.

Sad news and wondering if it wasn't induced by the repeated blows to the head many NFLers experience. Because of the results of repeated head trauma, many have come forward with what they describe as compelling urges to end their life. I could name many but Bill Romawski, troy Aikman and Harry Carson are a few on the list.

That's horrible news.

It was noted in the article I read that Junior shot himself in the chest. The article also mentioned that another football player had recently done the same thing because he wanted his brain inact so it could be studied for the effects of repeated concussions. Sad...

I heard it on the radio as I was driving back from Gainesville a bit ago. His Mother was crying uncontrollably. She couldn't understand why he would do such a thing. Very sad. Very sad.

According to the news report he was a high school standout there in San Diego. All American at USC. Played in the pros 20 years. 12 time (I think) Pro Bowler. Drafted and played for the Chargers for 13 years. Died in San Diego. Very sad.

Tough to say what was going through his head & daily life. It's sad to see it end like this for a guy with so much talent.

Dave Duerson of the Chicago Bears was the player who previously killed himself in the same manner.
