Miscellaneous Rumbles

So long, Mike. Thanks for all the great music, guitar wisdom and for helping create one of the most fertile musical and cultural scenes ever.

Sad news indeed. Just this afternoon I was thinking I need some Flamin' Groovies in my record collection.

Mike was in what is acknowledged as THE FIRST San Francisco Psychedelic band. That's a BIG deal. And the only guitar he played for years was his beloved 54 (I think) Country Club.

Thank you for letting us know. RIP.

Sad to hear, RIP.

This is very sad news.

Rest in peace Mike, and thank you for your contributions here.

Mike was a lovely contributor here. You'd never know from speaking with him that he was such an important figure in rock music. Just a humble, sweet man who loved his music.

He did tell us where the Charlatans got all their clothes from once. That was a great conversation. What a cool guy.

He really will be missed.

RIP Mike. Found this video of the Charlatans from around 65/6 as Mike is playing a Jaguar -- 32/20 Blues.

I'm saddened to hear this news. He was full of character and great stories - one of the good guys.
