Thoughtful of you to share this with the GDP, Mitch. My sympathy to you and your family.
Just to steal from a Dwight Yoakum song Flloyd County,"though the world knew nothing of his wisdom,or the honest and simple things he did. There's some folks crying{us}on this hillside today, that know about the humble way he lived". Thanks Zuma for your kind words when i lost my dad.Keep reading the Gdp where ever you are.We will miss very much. All the strengh to you and your family Mitch.
Condolences to the Zuma family. RIP Zuma. A sad day. Peace. Don
Run with the Wolves
So sad...Funny, I was going to PM him because he was the first to give me grief about getting a 7593 Falcon instead of a 6136...I was gonna tell him I took his advice and finally got a 6136...RIP.
My condolences to your family.

Damn, that is very sad news.
Rest In Peace Zuma.
Very sorry to hear about this. My condolences to you and your family.
Very sad news Mitch. Best Regards to you and your family.
I wanted to thank you all for the kind words.
They have helped a great deal today. Many of you have asked about sending flowers. In lieu of flowers we decided to make donations to
"Orphans Of The Storm" Which is a non kill animal shelter in our area. Scott rescued many animals from there. I'm providing a link.
If any of you are in the Chicago area the service will be held Wednesday. His death notice will be in Monday's Chicago Tribune. It will be viewable online. Thanks again for everything. Please PM me if you have any private questions.
Regards,
Mitch (Beatles6120)

Does anyone have a link to the obit?
Mitch, I am so sorry to hear about Scott! I'm shocked and my heart is beating so fast now. He was like my online brother for years. We emailed each other many times and had all kinds of projects going on for him(and you) from time to time. We spoke a couple of times on the phone and I dearly wanted to meet him. He always sent me gifts for my Duo Jet when I was fixing it up. So kind and I was glad to return his favors. Man oh man I'm going to miss him! Please know that you and your family are in all of our thoughts and prayers and if you need anything from me call or email me.
I was working decals for him last week. He always had something up his sleeve he wanted done.
RIP Zuma. Love ya man!
Paul
"Zuma" and I hit it off great. We had much in common. I had 6 Huskies at the time when I first signed up on the GDP and Scott was there for me. When I found a baby squirrel and started rasing it, Scott was there for me. When I needed special things for my old Jet, Scott was there for me. He was such a great online friend. When I wanted MAME video games on my, PC Scott was there for me.
I'm going to miss him dearly.
Thank you for sharing, Mitch. We would be left in the dark if not for your telling us. My prayers and condolences to you and all who knew him.
Although I very seldom PM people here, I do remember PMing Scott when he was wrestling with putting his beloved Falcon on the block. We posted back and forth a couple times. I had to sell a very special guitar when I hit some rough times, and wished later that I had tried harder to find alternatives to doing that. Didn't have any suggestions that fit his situation, unfortunately, and I felt bad for him when that guitar left his posession.
Cynical and smart on the outside he was. But I think we always knew his heart was right there a micron beneath the surface. You will be missed, buddy! RIP.

got no words to touch this...
I'm very saddened to hear this, and very sorry for your loss, Mitch. GDP was my first excursion into the world of discussion boards, and Zuma was one of the originals on this board who has always made it a positive experience for me and many others. His presence here will be greatly missed.
Just a complete shock to log on this evening and find this... Obviously the best to you and your family, and know that Zuma will be sorely missed here on the GDP, as well.
This is sad news indeed. Our prayers are with you and your family Mitch. I'm going to miss your brother's comments here. He seemed like a very practical and down to earth guy. I liked his penchant for practicality (like cutting up plastic clocks to make arm rests for ultra expensive guitars). He made me laugh quite a bit with his comments.
I can't imagine how you feel right now Mitch. This is sad news. I'm going to miss him. He was a real character with character.
Mitch, when Curt gave those of us at the Roundup event the news at breakfast this morning, there was nothing but shocked silence, and the sorrow was palpable.
Scott was an elder here, very near the conscience of the place, and his skill and brevity of expression were a gift to all of us. Even when he wasn't posting, just knowing he was around, surveying it all with his sharp wolf's eye, helped keep the place honest.
Maybe we can never know how our lives touch others, but know that Scott's influence – his affinity for the beasts, his uncommon humanity, and his clarity of vision – has been felt by many. And his wit and wisdom, in his very own words, remain here on the GDP to instruct and entertain.
Sad sad news. I'm going to miss Zuma.
Zuma and his cool Jeep:
Condolences to you and the rest of the family.
That's not a jeep. It is clearly a corsair. (And it is freaking awesome!) There is just something so right about vintage WWII aircraft and Gretsch guitars. Something more refined and elegant. Ah- Zuma. Ah-mazing.
Yep, I remember Scott from the early days and always had reverence for his knowledge and expression. We had chatted about Chicago-type stuff not too long ago. I wish I could have met in person, as I did many of you this weekend.
